In celebration of International Women’s Day this year, we want to highlight women using Synty in their projects! We put the call out to our wonderful community to point us in the direction of women-led games utilising Synty, that are either in development or released. Read on to find out more about two games currently in production.
Made With Synty

The Third Tourist | November North
November North is a micro indie studio based in the UK working on an unreleased game called The Third Tourist, a first person, open-world, spooky, Lovecraftian game. Welcome to Sunhollow Bay—where the sun shines, the boardwalk beckons, and the locals are... oddly intense. Stroll the shore, grab an ice cream, and try not to get caught up in the secret war between a power-hungry AI cult and the demon whispering in your ear. Playing as Bryce, the latest unlucky tourist to inherit both a seaside mansion and a supernatural parasite, you’ll need stealth, charm, and a bit of mischief to track down your demon's missing lieutenants before the cult does. No guns, no backup—just you, your wits, and a growing taste for the chaos that comes with being possessed.
You can follow the November North team's development journey on YouTube and Bluesky.
One Minute to Close | SleepySwan Studios
One Minute To Close is a stealth sandbox game about the chaos of last-minute shopping. A tribute to retail workers who have to smile through last-minute shopping sprees and scramble to wrap things up for the night. Whether you’ve been the shopper, the employee, or both, this game brings some humor to the all-too-relatable chaos of retail life.
The team are hoping to go into early access by the end of April this year, and you can follow the team’s development journey on Bluesky and Instagram.
The Bigger Picture
While we love to focus on the positives and achievements of women, we also recognise that at the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158 (roughly five generations from now!) to reach full gender parity according to data from the World Economic Forum. It’s important today, and every day, that we recognise (and celebrate!) the many underrepresented and marginalised groups within the games industry, across a diverse range of genders, identities, and backgrounds.
As individuals we can all take steps in our daily lives to drive positive impact by calling out stereotypes, challenging discrimination, questioning bias, and celebrating successes. It’s not only important that we strive to improve representation within our industry, but that we all work together to create an environment that is safe and welcoming for everyone to thrive in.
At Synty we are committed to creating an inclusive environment – for both our staff and our community – where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to be their authentic selves.
Lastly, here are a couple of great initiatives we’d love to share with you!
Check out the Wings Fund women-led sale, celebrating the creative power of women and other gender-marginalised developers by spotlighting their incredible work on Steam. You can also view their recent Games with Wings showcase on IGN, we challenge you to Wishlist at least one game from the event!
You can also support the work of Women-Led Games, who produce a semi-regular online showcase of innovative games coming from Women-led and majority women studios all over the world.
We hope International Women’s Day serves as a reminder of how important it is to strive for equality, not just today, but always!
